Premier Farm Credit is Offering up to Six $1,000 Scholarships

Premier Farm Credit offers $1,000 scholarships to up to six eligible students each year. Selection is based on academic aptitude, vocational promise, personal attributes, leadership and financial need.  Applicants must be a child or grandchild of a current stockholder or be a current stockholder themselves.  Children or grandchildren of employees or Board members are not eligible. Check back in the fall to fill out an application.

As part of the Farm Credit System (established in 1916), Premier Farm Credit serves Northeast Colorado and the surrounding areas with loans, leases, insurance and appraisals for agriculture and ag-related businesses. Premier Farm Credit has aggregate loan volume over $1 billion and has offices in Sterling, Fort Morgan, Yuma and Holyoke. They are a mission-based cooperative lender.

Premier Farm Credit Announces Four $1,000 Scholarship Recipients for 2025

Premier thanks all the applicants and congratulates the six scholarship recipients of 2026. Six local students were awarded $1,000 scholarships and they are:

Jocelynn Middlemist is graduating from Brush High School and is planning to attend Colorado Mesa University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering for a possible career in Agricultural Robotics. She is the daughter of Chance and Ceri Middlemist.

Teagan Martin is graduating from Holyoke High School and is planning to attend either CU-Boulder or University of Wyoming to pursue a degree in Accounting and Ag Business for a possible career in Public Accounting. He is the son of KC and Gina Martin.

Chase Goddard is graduating from Haxtun High School and is planning to attend Kansas State University to pursue a degree in Animal Sciences and Industry for a future possible degree in Livestock Consulting. He is the son of Casey and Lindsey Goddard.

Coleman Firme is graduating from Haxtun High School and is planning to attend Kansas State University to pursue a degree in Finance for a possible career in Investment Analysis. He is the son of Dan and Steffany Firme.

Joseph May is a graduate of Seton Home Study School and is currently attending the University of Wyoming pursuing a degree in Finance for future possible career as a Financial Advisor. He is the son of Scott and Holly May of Brush.

Addison Imhof is graduating from Haxtun High School and is planning to attend the University of Wyoming to pursue a degree in Animal & Veterinary Science for a future possible career in Cattle Ranching & Production. She is the daughter of Justin and Jamie Imhof.

After reviewing several excellent applications, the scholarship committee selected the following individuals to receive PFC scholarships:

Eli Kalous is graduating from Wiggins High School and is planning to major in Agricultural Business at Northeastern Junior College. He is the son of Matt and Heather Kalous.

Jaylyn Kechter is graduating from Idalia High School and is planning to attend Nelson University and major in Human Services. She is the daughter of Toby and Brianne Kechter and granddaughter of Robert and Brenda Kechter.

Madelyn Willeke is graduating from Otis High School and is planning to attend University of Colorado, Boulder and major in Integrative Physiology. She is the daughter of Jordan and Jennifer Willeke.

Addison Oliver is graduating from Revere High School and is planning to attend Kansas State University and major in Agricultural Education. She is the daughter of Ryan and Jessica Oliver.

Premier thanks all the applicants and congratulates the four scholarship recipients of 2024. Four local students were awarded $1,000 scholarships and they are:

Cassidy Goddard is graduating from Haxtun High School and is planning to major in Business Administration at Black Hills State University. She is the daughter of Casey and Lindsay Goddard and granddaughter of Claude and Joann Goddard.

Addicyn Kessinger is graduating from Akron High School and is planning to attend Black Hills State University and major in Exercise and Sport Science. She is the daughter of Kory and Shanan Kessinger and granddaughter of Lila Kessinger

Tayla Martin is graduating from Holyoke High School and is planning to attend CU-Boulder and major in Accounting and Ag Business. She is the daughter of KC and Gina Martin and granddaughter of Terry Martin.

Carter Van Overbeke is graduating from Holyoke High School and is planning to attend an undecided university and major in Mechanical Engineering. He is the son of Troy and Michelle Van Overbeke and grandson of Carl and Kathleen Schneller.
