Premier Farm Credit and CoBank recently teamed up and donated $5,000 to help local youth trap shooting organization High Plains Clay Busters purchase a central practice location.
“This purchase will greatly benefit youth in our area,” Chris Dollerschell, Vice President of Lending at Premier Farm Credit, said. “Trap shooting is growing in popularity, and this will allow more local kids to participate in the sport. Premier Farm Credit and CoBank are delighted to support such a worthy cause.”
High Plains Clay Busters was created for youth shooting in Morgan County, and the club has been working to raise the final funds needed to purchase the central range they are currently using. Without the purchase of this range, the club would likely have to travel to Sterling or Briggsdale to practice, which would severely limit the number of youth that could be part of the team.
“High Plains Clay Busters is excited to have the opportunity to finally own our range. Ownership will allow us to continue our youth shooting programs and open up the possibility of an additional trap house to support future growth expected in the sport. We are very appreciative of Premier Farm Credit and CoBank for their help in this project,” Matt Wulf, who represents High Plains Clay Busters.
By being a part of this organization these young people learn how to be part of an organized team, make safe choices a priority, practice discipline, learn how to be coached, the importance of practice, and more. This donation from Premier Farm Credit and CoBank put the organization across the finish line and makes the purchase a reality.
