Loan Officer Andy Piel has transferred to the Sterling branch of Premier Farm Credit from the Fort Morgan office.

“Andy is a dedicated member of our lending team and we’re glad to have him join us in Sterling,” said Steve Kaiser, Vice President. “He has strong analytical skills, real-world understanding of production agriculture and enjoys working with people. He is a great fit for the Sterling branch and I look forward to introducing him to our customers.”

Piel joins a team of nine employees, five of whom are lenders, in the Sterling branch.

“I’m excited to be working in Sterling and am looking forward to getting to know more people and their operations,” Piel said. “I enjoyed working with the staff and customers in Fort Morgan, and will miss that part of the business, but also welcome a new challenge.”

Piel was raised on a farm near Merino, where his family continues to farm. He came to Premier Farm Credit in 2016 from L7 Trading in Sterling, where he worked in both logistics and sales. He also has worked with Piel Custom Services in Merino, where he was responsible for the operational aspects of a dryland farm and cattle operation, and at the Northeastern 18. Piel is a 2015 graduate of Colorado State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and a 2013 graduate of Northeastern Junior College, where he earned an Associates Degree in Business Administration.
